The Art of the Invisible - OKAPA´s Vision through Bodypainting Illusions

How WB Production Brought OKAPA’s Vision to Life Through Bodypainting Illusions

Some productions begin with a script. Others begin with a visual challenge.

When luxury hydration brand OKAPA approached WB Production with the idea of transforming their bottles into living works of art, it immediately became clear that this would not be a traditional commercial production. The vision was abstract, cinematic, and deeply artistic: creating four editorial-style films where the product itself would dissolve into illusion, movement, and human form.

To realize that vision, WB Production teamed up with internationally renowned fine art bodypainter Johannes Stötter, whose illusion works have become globally recognized for turning painted human bodies into seemingly impossible visual sculptures.

The result was a unique collaboration between engineering, cinematography, performance art, and bodypainting illusion — produced by WB Production.

The goal was never simply to “show” the product. The goal was to make the audience feel it.

Four Bottles. Four Visual Worlds.

The project revolved around four OKAPA bottle colorways:

  • Peaches Copperwire
  • Goldie Samba
  • Indigo Havana
  • Redd Rumble

Rather than creating classic product commercials, each film was developed as its own emotional and visual universe. Every bottle inspired a different atmosphere, rhythm, movement language, and sculptural illusion.

The goal was never simply to “show” the product. The goal was to make the audience feel it.

OKAPA’s philosophy centers around precision, craftsmanship, and what the brand describes as “mastering the invisible” through material engineering and design. That concept aligned naturally with Johannes Stötter’s illusion art, where human bodies disappear into entirely new forms through paint, perspective, and composition.

A Collaboration Between Art and Engineering

What made this collaboration especially unique was the overlap between two seemingly different disciplines.

OKAPA approaches product design through engineering precision and material innovation.
Johannes Stötter approaches illusion art through anatomical precision, perspective, and visual transformation.

WB Production became the bridge between both worlds — translating those ideas into motion, atmosphere, and narrative.

The project ultimately became more than a product campaign.
It became an exploration of perception itself: where objects become living forms, and where the invisible becomes visible through art.

“The Living Form” – Indigo Havana

One of the most striking films of the series was The Living Form, inspired by the Indigo Havana bottle.

The concept explored transformation and reverence. The bottle is introduced almost like an artifact before dissolving into a breathing sculpture composed entirely of painted human bodies. Shapes separate, reform, and pulse rhythmically through light and movement.

The illusion continuously shifts between object and organism.

This blending of cinematic storytelling and illusion art became one of the defining visual languages of the entire production.
